Soft Sympathy

I am addicted to French Foliage. I've been using the heck out of it lately. I always seem to get attached to something AFTER they retire it. Day late and a dollar short is my motto. Oh well, works for me. Once again, the need for a sympathy card sucks, but it WAS really fun to put this one together. I really like the color combo. Not sure if I'll be able to duplicate it ever again. lol

I really love doing detail work. The leaves seem to come alive with a little marker attention. Time consuming yes, but definitely worth it.

Class Act

I freaking LOVE this card! I saw this stamp on Pinterest (eye roll) and just HAD to have it. However, it's expired. Why do they expire the really cool ones? I got into this whole stamping thing a little too late. Obviously. So, my mad hunting skills paid off and I found one for sale. SWEET!

I am addicted to purple and haven't done a Christmas card in purple yet so... it's about time! It was such a simple card and went together so quickly. I love the colored holly too! Even though it's red and green.

Supplies:
Cardstock ~ Smoky Slate, Elegant Eggplant
Ink ~ Elegant Eggplant, Gumball Green, Real Red
Stamp Sets ~ Christmas Collage, Curly Cute
Tools ~ Textured Impressions Embossing Folder, Square Punch, Sponge Daubers
Embellishments ~ Dazzling Details, Brads dipped in Cherry Cobbler Embossing Powder

Vintage Christmas (Again?)

Yep. Vintage colors for Christmas. Works for me! This card didn't turn out as cute as I had it pictured in my head. Bummer. Oh well, I still like it.

Supplies:
Cardstock ~ Crumb Cake, Crisp Cantaloupe
DSP ~ First Edition, Glimmer Paper in Champagne
Ink ~ Crisp Cantaloupe, Crumb Cake, Chocolate Chip
Stamp Sets ~ Gorgeous Grunge, Open Sleigh
Embellishments ~ Very Vintage Designer Buttons, Bakers Twine

Bitter Sweet

It is BITTER cold outside. That's the bad news. The SWEET part is that Christmas is coming! It was 15 degrees out this morning when I went out to feed my horses. Poor little things! I wish I could bring them in the house, but for some reason my husband draws the line at the door. He just doesn't understand. Oh well..

So, I was in the Christmas spirit for this card. I had so much fun. I can't wait to get some more time to play around with all the ideas I have jam-packed in my head. I am a Christmas junkie. I turn on the tunes the day after Thanksgiving and (yes, while everyone is pushing and shoving on Black Friday) I decorate for Christmas. I'm not a traditional kind of girl though (If you haven't figured that out already...get with it!). I don't really like red and green. It's BORING! Why not add some pink and blue in there? And better yet, lets make it have a vintage feel to it. Yep, that's my kinda style.

Here is what I came up with. It's a little more green than I'd planned, but it has enough pink and blue in it to compensate for that.

Supplies:
Cardstock ~ Real Red, Very Vanilla
DSP ~ Everyday Enchantment (retired), Glimmer Paper
Ink ~ Baked Brown Sugar, Crumb Cake, Rose Red
Stamp Sets ~ Come to Bethlehem, Gorgeous Grunge
Embellishments ~ Pool Party button, brads dipped in Pool Party Embossing Powder
Misc ~ Cream ribbon, natural thread

An Engagement with Ex Libris...

rMy computer has been down for the past week or so. It's been dreadfully painful not being able to post my cards. I didn't want to have to download all of my programs to my husbands computer, so I (not so patiently) waited for mine to be fixed. It came back to me on Monday and is STILL (it's now Thursday) acting weird, so back to the computer geek it goes. Needless to say, I'm using my husbands computer and have spent quite a bit of time downloading my programs anyway. Can you tell I just love computers? Grrrr! PLUS, I have 2 horses and a donkey staring at me through the window (because it's dinner time).

I created this card for a dear friend of mine. She was recently engaged. It's about DARN time! She's my best friend and I look up to her (even though I'm 8" taller and 5 years older). I love her like a sister. We share a deep love for purple so I thought this would be perfect.
